子猫MAGNUM: I've decided to close this experimental project with this final version — the full body tests never really quite worked out.
This version features a properly reworked face and general body tweaks. Update: Fixed the head placement as suggested.

Digital Photomorph, Adobe Photoshop. ____ COPYRIGHT NOTICE: The primary base image is of model Micah Moore. I make no claims of creation nor ownership over that original photo.
This photomorph was produced for the purposes of conceptualization and technical practice and should not be construed a challenge to the copyright nor ownership of the original intellectual property.
The image was chosen for this manipulation experiment solely due to its appropriateness in original physique and pose, and does not reflect a particular stance, opinion nor commentary in regard to its original content, creator, nor owner.
On the whole, doing a general anatomical morph is several hours work, consisting of resampling, reshaping and blending, followed by cleanup of peripheral and background elements to remove inadvertent distortions and artifacts. There is inevitably some painting involved to fill gaps, fix lighting and deal with things the other techniques don't cover. All in all, the process involves hundred of layers in the image file.
Since I do have complete anatomical charts on hand for this subject, it came down to trying to capture the established forms while avoiding being too unrealistic — while sampling exclusively from the original image.
To the contrary, this is just Photoshop — an old version, in fact: CS1. If anything, it is the result of learning how to use its standard tools to good effect.
I have aperture 3, but even though I have a big thick book on how to use it, I really need classes or a tutor with lots of patience for a slow learner.
Classes only help so much. A good reference book on how to accomplish specific tasks is often more useful. Even the internet search of specific "Ho to..." articles for things can turn up useful bits.
But ultimately, ambition drives innovation. One doesn't know what they can do until they try to do it.
