Mace Windu “The Master” — One of the few Jedi masters to survive the purge, Windu is widely thought to have perished after being blasted by Palpatine from the Chancellor's chambers to fall to his death.

Surviving his plummet by his skill in the Force and the timely — and somewhat unwelcome — intervention of an old “friend”, Mace raced in fear and pain to the Jedi Temple, and arrived too late, finding the carnage left by Vader's rampage. Windu barely held his righteous outrage in check as he searched for survivors despite his own wounds, evading the clone troopers still scouring the blood-spattered chambers. Finding only the unnumbered dead and a handful of younglings who had thus far hidden from the assault, the Jedi master began to realized the extent of the betrayal, and sensed the mounting deaths of his comrades across the Galaxy.

Convinced that he himself was among the last of the senior Jedi alive, Mace quickly gathered his charges and fled Coruscant in secret, to plot the resurrection of the Jedi order — and revenge against the Sith and the traitor, Anakin Skywalker.

Evading the Republic forces that were once his allies, and wary of further treachery, Windu avoided all contact with other surviving Jedi and disappeared into obscurity. But as the storm looms, the scarred Master remerges with his disciples, drawn by eddies in the Force and rumors of ancient power, to pursue the prize, to claim its might and strike down the Sith and its minions once and for all, at whatever the cost...

Photo morph of Windu, combining details from official production images (of Windu, Anakin and others) and other sources, to suggest how the maimed and vengeful Jedi Master might appear during the Stormshadow story arc, in which he acts as a rival contender to the protagonists.

It helps that I had good source material in the studio photos of the cast: consistent lighting, consistent scale, and a consistent neutral background.

In my Star Wars Transformers fan-fiction Windu also survived and he left artifacts for the survived Jedis to turn them against the Siths. The Rebellicons and their leader Exerus Wing were who found these artifacts. They met Windu and they prepare for a battle against the Empireons and the Siths.

It seems that most people prefer Windu surviving his rather anti-climactic tumble out the window. I suppose it's just too inglorious an end for such a major Jedi...

And I think you shall agree, that he could be the adept of the Dark Side after that. As an argument there is a fact, that Windu was a master of Vaapad style

actually, Mace Windu is a master of Vapaad(I think that's how its spelled) Lightsaber Style fighting, which requires one to master there darker emotions, such as Hate, and Anger, and use them to better benefit oneself. So, one could already say that he knows the dark side of the force very well, and he could, in fact use it to his advantage, if he were to survive the fall. (Which I do believe he did, though it hasn't yet been confirmed if he did/didn't survive.)

I prefer to place him in the gray area after such an experience, being as I prefer the idea that there is more to the Force than just the polarities of "light" and "dark" — especially since Windu did seem exactly the purist even as Jedi...
